Kosca waterfall

The Kosca stream waterfall is located in the vast forests that can be seen along the Dolenj highway. It is considered the highest Lehnjak waterfall in Slovenia. In Stari trg near Višnja Gora, pay attention to the sign pointing towards the Kosca waterfalls. There is some space to park your car right next to the path when you come out of the underpass. A little further on, the path winds through a forest with lush vegetation and between a stream over which footbridges lead. In the dry season, the waterfall almost dries up, but the valley remains pleasantly cool.

The route is marked throughout and is suitable even for the youngest. In the last part, it climbs a little steeper and you have to be careful not to slip, especially in rainy weather. Along the stream, children can find plenty of opportunities to play, while adults will enjoy the soothing sounds of the water. From the waterfall onwards, the path leads along a pleasant path to the village of Vrh, where beautiful views open up.

The path to the Kosca waterfall is only one part of a much longer path called The path of two waterfalls, which leads via Gradišče and Kuclje to the gorge and waterfalls of the Višnjica stream.
