The Krka river originates north of the village of Gradiček, only 1 km away from the village of Krka, and the cave lies above its source, just a few steps higher. It is a horizontal cave, from which underground water gushes out only during heavy rains. Behind the entrance is a spacious hall that is more than 200 meters long and up to 30 meters wide. The hall ends with a 30-meter-long siphon lake.
There is a parking lot in front of the village of Gradiček, at the source of the Poltarica stream - from here it is only 500 m to the cave.
The Poltarica cave is also located near the source of the Krka River, which can only be seen with the accompaniment of the Krka Cave Club.
The path of the River of Love
In recent years, the village of Krka has been known for the series River of Love, which, among other things, was filmed in these places. A guided tour along this route takes you through the picturesque filming locations, which are largely located in the beautiful valley village of Krka, where the green beauty – the Krka river – also originates.
